Boo! Have fun in the kitchen preparing these simple Halloween-style snacks made of puff pastry sweetened with maple syrup and cinnamon.
Serves: 4 | Preparation time: 25 mins | Cooking time: 20 mins
- Ready-rolled puff pastry: 1
- Maple syrup: to taste
- Cinnamon: to taste
Pre-heat the oven to 180°C.
Roll out the puff pastry sheet and prick it all over with a fork so the puff pastry won’t swell during cooking.
Cut out some discs using a glass or a pastry cutter. With a small knife, carve a face into each disc: evil
eyes, pointy fangs or whatever you can come up with.
Place the faces onto an oven tray lined with baking paper.
Brush with some maple syrup on each puff pastry face. Bake about 20 minutes.
Take out of the oven as soon as the puff pastry turns golden and is cooked through. Sprinkle some cinnamon right before serving them.
