Whether is for breakfast, snack or just because you fancy a healthy drink, this one tastes great as well.
Saffron contains very few calories, it has carotenoids that help against cellular aging, has vitamins B1 and B2 that help metabolize fat and therefore has digestive properties. And then it is good.
Banana lowers cholesterol and pressure, regulates the intestine, protects the stomach, strengthens the immune system, just to name a few.
Now think about a mix of these two ingredients and enjoy them in a healthy and delicious smoothie.
Serves: 2 | Preparation time: 5 mins
- Water at room temperature: 70 ml
- Soy milk, possibly unsweeten: 60 ml
- Saffron: half teaspoon
- Bananas: 1
- Optional – Oat or spelt or wholegrain biscuits/cookies: 2
Method
Peel banana and cut it in small pieces, put them in the food processor along with soy milk, water and as optional a couple of biscuits you prefer.
Blend for 1 min, then add half teaspoon of saffron and blend again for a couple of mins.
Once all the ingredients are blended together in a homogeneous yellow texture, your smoothie is ready.
