Looking for a good starter? Bruschetta is always winning. I have prepared this with canned tuna in very little time and it is really light.
Serves 4, Preparation time less than 5 mins, Cooking time 10 mins
- 4 multigrain bread slices (or bread you prefer)
- 5 tomatoes
- dried oregano
- 2 canned tuna (each 150 g.)
- a handful of green pitted olives
- Extra virgin olive oil to taste (EVOO)
- Salt and black ground pepper to taste
Brush the slices of bread with EVOO and put them on the griddle, or under the oven grill, as long as they are not uniformly toasted.
In the meantime, cut olives and tomatoes and put them in a bowl with a drop of EVOO, a little dried oregano, add canned tuna (let it drip its oil first), add a pinch of salt, mix and leave in the bowl for at least 5 minutes.
As soon as the bread is ready, add the compound with the tomato on each slice of bread, still a drop of EVOO – if you want- and bake in the oven still hot for a few minutes.
Now serve up and sprinkle with a freshly ground pepper.
