Orange and dark chocolate is a classic combination that we never get bored of.

For these Layered Chocolate Cups the result is a creamy, refreshing dessert that will greatly impress you.

Serves: 4 | Preparation time: 20 mins + 1 h to refrigerate

  • Dark chocolate 75%: 250 g
  • Sheep’s Ricotta: 180 g
  • Whole milk: 100 ml
  • Orange: 1, medium sized
  • Dried biscuits : about 8
  • Caster sugar: 2 tbsp

Method

Grate the orange’s rind and set it aside. Cut half of the orange in thin slices and squeeze the other half for its juice. Set aside.

Break the chocolate in small pieces and put it in a saucepan on very low heat along with the milk, stir gently. Add the orange juice, stir thoroughly until the chocolate has completely melted, then turn off the heat.

First bowl: mix Ricotta with sugar in a bowl to get a uniform, silky cream.

Second bowl: mix half of the Ricotta cream with half of the melted chocolate.

Coarsely crumble the biscuits.

Start filling each glass with layers by alternating chocolate, ricotta, orange slices and crumble biscuits, top it with some orange zest and a pinch of cinnamon powder. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
