It’s a simple yet tasty and nutritious side dish that we like to spice up with two aromatics notes, sage and turmeric, along with butter.
Serve 4, Preparation time 10 mins, Cooking time 15 mins
- 5 medium size carrots
- 30 g. butter
- Evoo, Extra virgin olive oil, to taste
- 5 sage leaves
- salt and black ground pepper to taste
- a teaspoon of turmeric
Cut carrots for their length in half and in turn cut back the two halves obtained in two other half (for each cut carrot you’ll 4 sticks).
In a frying pan melt the butter with a two tbsp of EVOO, add cut carrots and cook for about 8/10 minutes, stir them occasionally.
Then add the sage leaves and cook for another 2 minutes, add a pinch of salt, a handful of black ground pepper, turmeric, stir and serve up.
